The first thing that I created was a space costume for the grandpa because he is an inventor who goes in space to do a research why the Red Planet is going grey.

The director really liked that design and said he imagine him already in a battle with the evil alien creatures.

I did some exploration of characters for the Pod Planet

The director said that if I want to make some characters I should try and make some animal like creatures, more like morphs and off looking combinations of animals.

I got asked after that to make a concept piece on one of the scenes where after the big explosion the grandpa is recharging and healing with the help of the plants that have the healing power.

After talking with the director more he said he actually imagines it more to be a hospital atmosphere and asked me to make it look more like a hospital room so I ended up making this piece here.

He liked it a lot and made me send it to the storyboard artist so he can use it for the particular scene.

I got asked to work with a screenshot of the 3D models of the buildings the director had to see if this works well with the vision for the scene. I had to draw some greenery on top of the buildings and around them, to add the parking platform and to add the cafe pits /down,left/ so they can see the balance between nature and architecture.

The director got to the conclusion that the buildings need to be a bit cleaner design-wise.

I had to explore how to combine the different aesthetics they are trying to combine /steam-punk, bio-tech, clean, plants intergraded, pipes/

LYKOI - character design

" An intelligent brave tough woman. She is an agile fighter. Flexible like a ballet dancer. Like a female Samurai, she fights with spears. She is straight and honest, but lacks sense of humor. Always serious. She belongs to the Orange Flame Tribe. Their leader has disappeared; She is second in command and enjoys a high status among the Flames. The viewers of the Red Planet should admire her, but not necessarily find her sympathetic. She can be annoyed at Roody or others when they act clumsy.

EXTERNAL FEATURES
She is tall and has almost the same size as Flambo. She looks furious before she is going into battle. But during fights she looks cool and focused. She has a slender body shape, a long ponytail and cat-eyes. "

THE BLUE QUEEN - character design

Queen of the Blue Flame People (a ‘Big Mama’), and the only survivor after the attacks of the Evil Enemy. She is annoying and a pain in the ass. Emotional type. Furious if confronted with the enemy. She can be silly and clumsy (for example: She always mixes up left and right.

EXTERNAL FEATURES
She is a huge Flame, as big as RedBeard. Fat belly, flaming eyes, burning pigtails.

Redbeard - character design

Redbeard is the head of the Red Flame People. He is a big old Flame, over 100 years old. He is wise, brave and very serious. Not a laughing type.
EXTERNAL FEATURES

He is taller than the other Flames (only Lykoi and Flambo are taller). An impressive appearance. He has a red burning beard.
